LIVE CLEAN APPLE CIDER CLARIFYING SHAMPOO

I'm not a shampoo girl.  I rarely review them or rave about them or put much thought into them because to me....well there's not too much variation from one to another that I find too often.  Plus of course there's the fact that it's a product that goes right down the drain....literally.

Recently I had been trying out some products that left my hair a greasy hot mess (won't mention any names)  My hair looked dull and I had a lot of build up.  I wanted to get rid of it and also planned on putting some twists in so wanted to make sure my hair was extra clean.

I went into my product stash and came out with the Live Clean Apple Cider Clarifying Shampoo and decided to give it a try.  It's a Canadian company (bonus :)) that is completely vegan and cruelty free.
This particular product features include:
  • 98% Plant Derived
  • SLS / Sulfate Free
  • Paraben Free
  • Phthalate & Phosphate Free
  • Petroleum Free

I purchased this product from Shopper's Drug Mart; a local drug store.  It was about $6 or $7 dollars.

I'll let you know right off the bat that I love the shampoo and plan to continue using it.
The whole clarifying thing had me worried as I expected it to strip my hair but it was surprisingly gentle, my hair felt squeaky clean but not dried out at all.  It also felt really light and fluffy and tangle free which leads me to believe that clarifying is something I need to incorporate into my regimen.

The other thing I was skeptical about was the natural plant based part.  I typically don't like sulfate free shampoos because of their lack of suds but it was not lacking in this one.  A little goes a long way and I got a lot of suds immediately.

So if your like me and you've been missing clarifying in your routine, I'd say give this one a shot.  You can find more info on www.liv-clean.com
