AS I AM MOISTURE MILK

I attended the Curly Soiree, a natural hair event back in October which included a product swap.  I was eager to pawn off my Kinky Curly curling custard for something new without having to come out of pocket.  This is what I picked up.
This is a leave-in moisturizer by a company called As I Am.  I've heard of them before, even seem them in some stores but for some reason never had the urge to try them out.

Key Ingredients: Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Soybean Oil, Apricot Oil, Wheat Germ Oil, Sugar Beet Root, Lanolin, and Vitamin E

I initially used this as a leave-in on wash day and followed it up with some coconut oil to seal it in.  I left my hair to airdry in twists and in the morning they felt pretty moisturized.  My hair was really fluffy and still detangled.

My favourite way to use this I found is as a daily moisturizer, it's light enough to use on a day to day basis without causing build up and I even used other products with it like gel and edge control.

The consistency is like a lotion with a bit more grip....if that makes sense and I absolutely LOVE the smell.  Sweet, yummy but not overpowering.

I'm glad I picked this up at the product swap and this has definitely peaked my interest in the rest of the line.

  5. Thanks for this post. I haven't tried them but you're the second person I've heard say good stuff about it. The only things I';; splurge on are leave-ins and oils, so I may need to look into this.
